Elk Grove grew so fast it never built a traditional civic center — District56 is the answer. The campus combines an aquatic center, community meeting spaces, an art gallery, and event lawns into one destination, and it's quickly become the default gathering spot for the west side: summer concerts, cultural festivals, and swim meets all land here.
